The Birth of ARC
Day after day, I witness the toll of the job search process on people. As a professional resume writer with over a decade of experience, I encountered stories generally ending with a familiar sigh, "If only I could afford a professional resume writer." This day-to-day narrative aroused my empathy and a continuous desire to bridge this gap.
Professional resume writing services are indeed a luxury, a luxury many can't afford yet can't afford to go without either. The difference a professionally crafted resume can make in landing interviews and standing out is enormous. It can, quite literally, make dreams come true. (In fact, it’s the best part of my job as a career strategist!)
Taking this thought forward, I began to envision a tool. A tool that liberates job seekers from their resume-writing dilemmas, that brings the demo and expertise of a professional resume writer to everyone and anyone. That was the birth of ARC - AI Resume & Career builder.
ARC is designed to be an affordable yet sophisticated job search assistant. It's like having a career coach who guides you through the complexities of crafting a compelling resume, helps practice interviews, and even matches your unique experience with relevant job postings. ARC is here to provide that much-needed starting point and, sometimes, that gentle nudge in the right direction.

The Team
Don is an executive and HR leader for Fortune 50 and 500 companies and startups. In 2008, Don launched area|Talent, focusing on helping clients identify their brand. As a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, Certified Digital Career Strategist, Certified Interview Coach, and Certified Personal Branding Strategist, Don guides clients through career transitions across companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Aston Martin, TikTok, and more.
Don is also a résumé consultant for Stewart Cooper Coon, an executive search firm. With the rise of AI in the hiring process, Don partnered with Gobie Nanthakumar of Resoume to form area|TalentAI in 2023, providing a resume-centered AI-building platform along with other AI tools, like resume scoring and interview preparation.
Don is a graduate of Culver-Stockton College.
In 2023, Don started volunteering with Chrysalis, a nonprofit dedicated to helping unhoused people find jobs. Since 2014, Don has volunteered as a crisis prevention counselor with The Trevor Project.
When Don is not helping people land the jobs they deserve, he can be found traveling and running his dog's Instagram page, hoping one day, she will be the breadwinner in the family.
